Chieftains working on the times at conference meet

Lake Holcombe runners were on the road at Grantsburg, Oct. 15, for the Lakeland Conference meet, with their two varsity athletes working to drop their times.

Junior Alex Dixon placed 39th on the day, in a time of 20:45, while freshman Lane Porter was 47th (30:29).

The Chieftains now prepare for Sectional action at Cadott, which should be a cinch for Dixon, as he’s run that course many times before.

“I think he’ll do real well, he knows that course well,” said coach Greg “Cookie” Anderson.
