By Valorie Brecht The Loyal High School volleyball team rose to the challenge and defeated the Marathon Red Raiders their matchup last Thursday at Loyal.
The Loyal seventh grade boys came in first in their first basketball tournament of the season, held Jan. 10 in Amherst. Members of the team are (front from left) Colton Williams, Severin Hagen, Gabe Lobner, Brock Barlow, (back) Devon Korish, Parker Witte, Matthew Lavengood, Easton Paul, Andrew Beals, and Hoyt Clements. The team competed in a four-team bracket, playing against Amherst losing 35-34; Pacelli-Almond-Bancroft in the second round and securing a 42-38 win.
