Stratford archers compete in the world championships

Stratford National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) Archery Club members competed in the Eastern Nationals Bullseye and 3D on May 9-11 in Louisville, Ky., and World Championship Bullseye and 3D on June 6-8 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The Stratford archery program is open to students in fourth through 12th grades. The group practices inside the Eau Pleine Outdoors Club in the Stratford Business/ Industrial Park.
Stratford archer Blake Redetzke shot a new personal best score of 265 in the bullseye competition at the tournament hosted by Centershot Ministries at Nationals in Louisville, Ky. Amanda Budtke shot a new personal best bullseye score of 293 which was good for second place among high school females competing in the Centershot Ministries tournament.
The following Stratford archers competed in the NASP bullseye tournament at Eastern Nationals and qualified for the World Championships: Blake Redetzke, 255; Noah Bornbach, 290; Zac Brooks, 282; Tyler Lange, 281; Amanda Budtke, 292; Garrett Drexler, 293 and Derek Wiese, 288.
Blake Redetzke shot a new personal best score of 263 in the 3D competition at the NASP tournament at Eastern Nationals. Alexa Krieg also shot a new personal best score of 288. Garrett Drexler took fourth place among high school males with a score of 294 in the 3D tournament hosted by Centershot Ministries at Eastern Nationals.
The following Stratford archers competing in the NASP 3D tournament at Eastern Nationals who qualified for the World Championship: Blake Redetzke, 263; Amanda Budtke, 283; Garrett Drexler, 294; Alexa Krieg, 288 and Derek Wiese, 282.
World Championship Noah Bornbach scored a 289 in the bullseye competition at the World Championship in Daytona Beach, Fla. His score ranked seventh among 182 eighth grade boys. He ranked 47th overall out of 1,431 archers.
Garrett Drexler scored a 289 in the bullseye. His score ranked him 33rd among 497 high school boys, 10th among 118 of the 11th grade boys and 47th out of 1,431 archers in the competition.
Amanda Budtke scored a 276 in the bullseye which was 143rd among 460 high school girls, 42nd out of 136 10th grade girls and 253rd among 1,265 girls competing.
Blake Redetzke scored a 262 which was 86th among 439 elementary school boys, 76th among 279 fifth grade boys and 655th out of 1,431 boys competing.
Garrett Drexler scored a 289 in the 3D competition at the World Championship. His score of 289 ranked him 23rd among 319 high school boys, third out of 78 11th grade boys and 31st out of 927 overall boys in the competition.
Alexa Krieg scored a 278 in 3D which was 41st among 294 high school girls, 14th out of 93 girls in 10th grade and 74th out of 823 girls.
Amanda Budtke scored a 278 in 3D which is 43rd among 294 high school girls, 16th out of 93 girls in 10th grade and 77th out of 823 girls.
Blake Redetzke scored a personal best score of 266 in 3D which is 38th among 242 elementary school boys, 35th out of 163 fifth grade boys and 284th among 927 overall boys.
