Cadott’s schedule saw the boys basketball program host back-to-back-to-back matches, but despite the home court advantage, they were unable to pull down a win.

Jan. 30 vs. Stanley-Boyd conference (L 54-53)

First up in the home stand, was rival Stanley-Boyd, who gave fans a night to remember. Cadott took a slim, onepoint lead into halftime and the second half mirrored that of the first, except the Orioles pulled out ahead slightly, to claim a one-point victory, 54-53.

Junior Braden Schneider led with 18 points and 5 assists for the Hornets, followed by senior Nolan Blum, who added 11 points, with junior Cameron Allard coming next, with 8. Junior Parker Davis was right behind, with 7, and senior Brodee Burish was right behind him, with 6 points and 6 rebounds.

Junior Nolan Freed chipped in with 2 points on the night, while junior Jackson Barone shot and connected on a free throw.

Feb. 2 vs. McDonell conference (L 77-56)

A few days later, McDonell came to call, where Cadott again led by one point at the break. The Macks kicked the scoring into gear in the second half, however, and went on to take the win from Cadott, 77-56.

Again leading was Schneider, with 22 points, while Blum had 12 and Allard knocked down three shots from beyond the arc, for 9 points. Burish followed with 6 points and Davis was right behind, with 5. Barone rounded out the scoring with 2 points.

Feb. 5 vs. Whitehall non-conference (L 69-48)

Finally, after a weekend off, the Hornets faced off with Whitehall, getting the upper hand at the beginning of the game. The Norse shook off the opening jitters and topped Cadott, for a 69-48 victory.

The Hornets now sit at 5-15 on the season and remain winless in the West Cloverbelt Conference, at 0-11.
