Deer Related
On August 25, at 5:15 a.m., a vehicle driven by Angie Latch, 37 of Medford struck a deer on Sunset Dr. in the town of Little Black.
On August 29, at 10:10 a.m., a vehicle driven by Douglas Etten, 71 of Dorchester struck a deer on STH 64 in the town of Grover.
One Vehicle Crashes
On August 23, at 9:06 a.m. a vehicle driven by Timothy Rose, 49 of Taylor was traveling northbound on CTH C when Rose swerved to miss a deer in the roadway. Rose’s vehicle ran off the roadway and entered the east ditch where it came to a rest on its side facing north. Smith’s vehicle had to be towed due to disabling damage.
On August 29 at 6:15 a.m., a vehicle driven by Aja Smith, 19 of Abbotsford was traveling eastbound on Gravel Rd. in the Town of Little Black. Smith crested a hill and observed another vehicle. Smith overcorrected right and struck a stop sign/railroad crossing sign at the railroad tracks. Smith’s vehicle came to a rest facing south on the railroad tracks. There were no injuries as a result of the crash. Smith was sited for operating a motor vehicle by permittee without authorized person >21.
On September 1, at 4:20 a.m., a vehicle driven by Gail Heurung, 65, of Medford was making a left turn in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Heurung reported her windshield had condensation on it as she was making the left turn. She used her windshield wipers to remove the condensation as she was making the left turn. Heurung made the turn too short and scraped the driver side of her vehicle against the concrete base of the “Row 2” sign in the parking lot. This caused functional damage to the driver side of her vehicle. There was only paint transfer to the base of the “row 2” sign. There were no injuries reported as a result of the accident.
Two Vehicle Crashes
On August 30, at 12:13 p.m., a vehicle driven by Lisa Shaver, 50 of Catawba and a vehicle driven by Scott Meyer, 61 of Merrill were both legally parked on opposite sides of the parking lot at Kwik Trip. Both vehicles proceeded to back up at the same time striking each other. Both units sustained damage. There were no injuries reported as a result of the accident.
On September 5, at 7:58 a.m., a vehicle driven by Matthew Livingston, 29 of Medford was driving northbound on S. Park Ave. crossing the intersection of Spruce St. in the City of Medford. A vehicle driven by Patricia Mertens, 89 of Medford was westbound on Spruce St. Mertens proceeded into the intersection, passing the yield sign. Mertens vehicle struck the trailer that Livingston was towing. The trailer and the cargo on the trailer was damaged as a result of the collision.
