On July 12 at 5:40 a.m., a pickup truck owned by Growmark and operated by Bradley Rau, 45, of Medford. was traveling southbound on Hwy 13 in Little Black when a deer entered the roadway. Rau’s vehicle struck the deer causing the side and front airbags to deploy. The driver sustained injury to his right hand. The vehicle was removed by Krug’s towing.
Two vehicle
On July 10, at 2:20 p.m., a vehicle driven by Jonathan M. Herrara, 20, of Abbotsford, was traveling southbound on S. Whelen Ave., in the city of Medford with a vehicle driven by Jordan Klinger, 18, of Medford, following. Herrara pulled into 869 S. Whelen and pulled back into traffic northbound. Herrara did not yield the right of way to the Klinger vehicle which was still traveling southbound. Klinger’s vehicle struck Herrara’s vehicle causing minor damage to both vehicles. Herrara received citations for operating without a valid license (second within three years), operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and failure to yield emerging from nonhighway access.
On July 13, at 5:44 p.m., a vehicle driven by Paige Ogle, 25, of Rib Lake, was backing out of parking space in the Walmart parking lot, at 1010 N. 8th St. in Medford. The vehicle was backing out in a southbound direction. A vehicle operated by Kayla Frisch, 30, of Medford, was parked behind Ogle’s vehicle, facing in an eastbound direction. As Ogle backed up the back driver’s side corner of the vehicle made contact with the front driver’s side of the Frisch vehicle causing functional damage.
Bear related
On July 8, at 6:30 a.m., a vehicle driven by Travis Clark, 40, of Withee, was traveling northbound on North Rd. in the town of Grover. According to the sheriff’s department report, Clark pulled over to the left to avoid a bear and got pulled into the west ditch and struck a tree. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. Clark was cited for failure of operator to notify police of accident.
Deer related
At 9:41 a.m., on July 11, a vehicle driven by Donna Albers, 83, of Medford, struck a deer on River Dr. in the town of Medford.

On July 17 at 6:57 a.m., a vehicle owned by Tayler Mueller, of Medford was legally parked and unoccupied on Maple St. near the intersection with Park Ave. in Medford. Raymond Daniels, 44, of Medford, made a left turn as it emerged from the alleyway to go east on Maple St. Daniels vehicle struck the Mueller vehicle. Daniels stated the windshield fogged up, obscuring his vision.
