Found guilty

Josue Castro Lopez, 30, of Colby, was found guilty due to a guilty plea of operating without carrying a license amended from operating without a valid license third or more offense within three years and ordered to pay $393.50 Braylon Fox, 17, of Stetsonville, was found guilty due to a no contest plea for a probationary licensee operating a class D vehicle between the hours of midnight and 5 a.m. and was ordered to pay $200.50. A charge of operation without required headlights was dismissed on a prosecutor’s motion.

Danny Green, 33, Medford was found guilty due to a guilty plea of OWI first offense and was ordered to pay $926 in addition his license will be revoked for seven months, has to undergo alcohol assessment and have an ignition interlock device installed in his vehicle. Additional charges of operating with a PAC >= .15, failure to keep vehicle under control and failure of operator to notify police of an accident were dismissed on the prosecutor’s motion.

Hunter Karrasch, 21, of Medford, was found guilty due to a no contest plea for operating at an unreasonable and imprudent speed and ordered to pay $213.10.

Kaden Morrison, 17, of Medford, was found guilty due to a no contest plea for operating a motor vehicle by a probationary license with an unauthorized person in the vehicle and ordered to pay $200.50.

Taylor Nelson, 32, of Waukesha, was found guilty due to a no contest plea for OWI second offense. Charges of operating with a PAC (2nd) and operating left of center were dismissed. Court imposes a fine in the amount of $1,618, DNA sample and surcharge fee of $200, 45 days county jail with Huber and good time (may serve time in any county so long as defendant makes arrangements and no extra cost to Taylor County) to be served no later than May 20, 2023 by 4:30 p.m., 16 months driver’s license revocation, ignition interlock device for at least 12 months, $42 blood draw reimbursement fee, AODA and follow through with the Driver Safety Plan, 6 demerit points assessed against his driver’s license and 1 day sentence credit. Payment plan was set up for $100 per month.

Alyssa Ann Puphal, 28, of Abbotsford, was found guilty due to a no contest plea for displaying unauthorized vehicle registration plate, operating without a valid license, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and non-registration of a vehicle- auto <10,000 pounds and was ordered to pay $814.60.

Jeremy Anderson, 43, Withee, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of possession of a controlled substance and was ordered to pay $894.

Kyle Annala, 27, of Westboro, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of OWI (1st) and was ordered to pay $1,020.50, have his license revoked for 7 months and undergo alcohol assessment. Charges of operating with a PAC>=.15, operating at unreasonable and imprudent speed, and being armed while intoxicated were dismissed on the prosecutor’s motion.

CJ Olson, 17, of Withee was found guilty due to no contest pleas of two counts of theft of moveable property <= $2,500 as a party to a crime. Charges of theft of moveable property special facts as a party to a crime, and four additional counts of theft of moveable property <=$2,500 as a party to a crime were dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes. Court orders a withheld sentence and places Olson on probation for 18 months with the following conditions: 40 hours of uncompensated community service at a location to be preapproved by the probation agent on count 1 only, no fine but court costs on each count, provide a DNA sample and pay the surcharge on each count, pay restitution which will be determined in 30 days which is to be joint and several, he is to have no contact with except to write a letter of apology to each victim due within 30 days to be preapproved by the probation agent, and go to counseling as deemed appropriate by the probation agent. Costs are to be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Courts Office in the amount of $50 a month beginning April 17. The defendant would be eligible to apply for expungement if he successfully completes probation.

John Peterson, 30, of Stetsonville was found guilty due to a no contest plea of possess a firearm by a convicted felon and ordered to pay $750.

Dalton Samson, 30, of Denham Springs, La. was found guilty due to a no contest please for two counts of misdemeanor battery. The charges were amended from felony substantial battery, intend bodily harm. Court orders a straight sentence on each count consisting of a $200 fine plus court costs on each count, provide a DNA sample and pay the surcharge on each count, pay the extradition cost of $2,638.65. Court also orders Samson to write a letter of apology to the victims, which has been done and turned into the DA’s office and approved. Costs are to be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Court’s Office in the amount of $200 a month beginning April 26.

Ashley Stevens, 37, of Eau Claire was found guilty due to a no contest plea of felony misappropriating ID information to obtain money and dismissed but read in for sentencing a charge of misdemeanor bail jumping. Court orders a withheld sentence and places Stevens on probation for 2 years with the conditions of: 60 days in jail which can be served in any county as long as the defendant makes arrangements and it is at no extra cost to Taylor County and approved. Jail may be served with Huber privileges and good time. Defendant must pay a $500 fine which is inclusive of court costs, provide a DNA sample and pay the surcharge, shall have no contact except to write a letter of apology to the victim due with 30 days and to be preapproved by the probation agent. Defendant will receive 2 days of sentence credit. Costs are to be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Courts Office in the amount of $25 a month beginning 30 days from her release. She is also to notify the Clerk of Courts Office of her new address at the time of her release.

Jennifer Heisler, 54, Park Falls, was found guilty due to a no contest plea to speeding in 55 mph zone (1619 mph) amended from speeding in 55 mph zone (20-24 mph) and was ordered to pay $200.50.

Plea agreements

A deferred prosecution agreement for failure to maintain holding/septic tanks was imposed for John Brost, 57, Medford. He was ordered to pay $150.10.

A deferred entry of judgment agreement was reached for Brent Decorah, 30, of Stanley, for charges of possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia. The court order the possession of THC to be open for one year with the conditions that he doesn’t obtain new criminal charges, stays in compliance with the bond, and does AODA and follows through with any recommended treatment. Decorah pled no contest to the drug paraphernalia offense. Court orders it to be amended down to a county ordinance violation and orders the forfeiture of $263.50 plus the mandatory $67 victim witness surcharge.

A deferred prosecution agreement for animals running at large was reached for Cal Drost, 25, of Stetsonville.

A deferred prosecution agreement for failure to maintain holding/septic tanks was imposed for Joel Frankewicz, 46, Thorp. He was ordered to pay $150.10.

A deferred entry of judgment for Elizabeth K. Hallam, 38, of Medford was imposed for an amended charge of misdemeanor battery. The original charge was child abuse - intentionally causing harm. The court will hold the case open for nine months. Conditions are for Hallam to comply with all requests by Taylor County Human Services and sign any releases to allow Human Services to verify said compliance with the DA’s office; notify the DA’s office of any address change; comply with all conditions of bond, which shall remain in effect during the period of this agreement. Upon successful completion, the case shall be dismissed.

A deferred prosecution agreement for Interstate/Intrastate Driving Requirements was imposed for Steven Hanke, 35, of Rib Lake.

A deferred prosecution agreement for disorderly conduct - domestic was imposed for Rosa Pinto Collazo, 42, of Medford.

A deferred prosecution agreement for disorderly conduct - domestic was imposed for Heidi Schulz-Johnas, 42, of Medford.

Plea entered

Rebecca Hurd, 31, of Rib Lake pled not guilty to disorderly conduct domestic abuse infliction of physical pain or injury.

Jesse Jinkerson, 17, of Humbird pled not guilty to battery.

Deisy Morales Luna, 25, of Medford pled not guilty to possession of THC.

Juan Piedra Granados, 25, of Medford, pled not guilty to battery (domestic abuse) and to disorderly conduct (domestic abuse).

Tylor Zondlo, 27, of Medford, pled not guilty to disorderly conduct.

Charges dismissed

Edgar Santiago-Lebron, 43, of Abbotsford had the following charges dismissed due to being deceased: operating without a valid license; three counts of misdemeanor bail jumping; two counts of disorderly conduct (domestic abuse); child abuse, intentionally causing harm; and intimidating a witness.
