Granton wrestler’s season comes to close
Granton’s sophomore wrestler Wyatt Karl (shown here on top) participated in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Regional Wrestling Tournament in the 195-pound weight class in La Crosse on Feb. 11. Karl started the day by pinning his opponent in the first round in 1:01, but then lost in the second round of competition. Karl then had the opportunity for a wrestle-back for second place but unfortunately, in that final round, Wyatt suffered an MCL injury which ended the season for him with a record of 26 wins and 7 losses. “Although it was a disappointing end to a great season, Karl’s coaches Parker Vivoda and Darrell Laschen know that, as a sophomore, Wyatt has a lot of great wrestling ahead of him yet,” Pam Anderson wrote in a press release.
