Chiefs battle Panthers in a game of adversity

By Ginna Young

For the third Friday night in a row, the Cornell football program faced off with not just their opponents, the Prairie Farm panthers, but also the weather at home Sept. 16.

“It was good to see effort in times of adversity, we had a monsoon and some tough calls go against us,” said coach Craig Braaten. “But, we are cleaning up the mistakes that were seen early in the season.”

Cornell got on the board first, before the inclement weather moved in, with a touchdown from sophomore Andrew Person, to put the Chiefs up, 6-0. Prairie Farm answered back with a touchdown of their own before the end of the first quarter.
