Corey Andrew Jacobson, 23, of Medford, pled not guilty to speeding in a 55 mph zone (20-24 mph over).
Kate Elizabeth Lochner, 20, of Phillips, pled not guilty to failure to stop for unloading school bus. A pretrial conference is scheduled for June 9, at 8:30 a.m. A court trial is scheduled for July 19, at 10 a.m.
Joseph Robert Murkowski, 31, of Athens, pled not guilty to OWI (1st offense).
Rodney J. Mulnix, 51, of Thorp, pled no contest to child abuse-intentionally cause harm. He entered into a deferred prosecution agreement for the period of 1 year. Upon successful completion of the agreement, the state will move to dismiss the charge. He also pled no contest to a charge of battery. Sentence was withheld and a probation of 1 year was issued. Mulnix must submit to a DNA sample at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department. The costs of $443 must be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Court at the rate of $50/month beginning April 4. Mulnix shall write a letter of apology to victim due within 30 days of sentencing and preapproved by probation. He shall also undergo counseling as deemed appropriate by Department of Corrections.
Kevin Marcelleus Antonio Cox, 35, of Saint Paul, MN, pled no contest and was found guilty due to no contest plea of operating without a valid license (2nd within 3 years). Cox shall submit to a DNA sample at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department. The costs of $443 shall be paid at the rate of $70/month beginning May 6.
Ethan Michael Mottle, 17, of Withee, pled guilty to charges of anti-noise (tires and mufflers) and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. He is ordered to pay forfeitures of $187.90 and $200.50.
Efrain Florescamerena, 29, of Tomahawk, pled not guilty and was found guilty at court trial to a charge of operating without a valid license (1st violation). He was ordered to pay a forfeiture of $200.50.
Deshawn David Laron Bryant, 24, of Schofield, was charged with operating a motor vehicle without insurance. The charge was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion.
Joaquin Makua Taitano Chaplinski, 17, of Gilman, was charged with operating a motor vehicle without insurance. The charge was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion.
