Accident reports

Hunter John Tischer, 19, of Gilman, was traveling westbound on CTH O, on September 26, at 3:58 a.m., when he fell asleep. Tischer then drifted into the south ditch, where it struck a culvert embankment and a utility pole. According to Tischer, the car rolled 2 to 3 times. He was transported to the hospital for the injuries he sustained from the crash. Operating a motor vehicle in an inattentive, careless or erratic manner was a contributing factor according to the report.

Jamie Makayla Neitzel, 25, of Medford was turning southbound on Hwy 13 from Hwy 64, on September 29, at 12:27 p.m. Morgan Leigh Dutzle, 24, of Stetsonville, was behind Neitzel when Dutzle struck the back bumper. There was minor damage done to the back bumper of Neitzel’s vehicle. Looked but did not see was a contributing factor according to the crash report.

Ann Cruz, 25, of Medford, was traveling southbound on Hwy 13, south of Mink Ave. on September 28, at 10:00 a.m., when she began to brake for the vehicle ahead of her that was slowing to turn into a driveway. Darrick Jay Mueller, 39, of Stetsonville made contact with Cruz’s rear center bumper. Cruz’s vehicle sustained functional damage to the rear center bumper and back hatch, and Mueller’s vehicle sustained minor damage to the front center bumper. Following too close was a contributing factor according to the crash report.

Vincent M. Brunner, 58, of Medford, was parked across the aisle from a legally parked and unoccupied car, owned by Glatha V. Smith, 74, of Medford on September 28, at 1:53 p.m. Brunner was backing out of the parking space when he struck the rear of Smith’s car. Brunner left without giving any notice, but was later identified. Brunner claimed that he was unaware that he had struck another vehicle. Rear bumper was damaged, no injuries were reported.

Taylor County Law Enforcement

Russell J. Bullis, 69, of Rib Lake, was traveling northbound on Kennedy St. on his moped at 11:54 a.m., on September 29, when he lost control. Bullis wiped out and rolled over. No injuries were reported. Road surface conditions loose gravel was a contributing factor according to the crash report.

The following car versus deer accidents were reported: Tessa Jo Kestler, 23, of Medford, at 4:40 a.m., on September 29, on CTH DD in the town of Holway; Matthew M. Switlick, 35, of Wausau, at 7:46 p.m., on October 1, on Stetson Ave., in the town of Deer Creek.
