First team baseball
Several local players are best in North, South

Athens and Edgar each had four baseball players awarded to their respective conference division’s first team this season.
Bluejay seniors Dayne Diethelm and Jake Denzine and junior Cooper Diedrich were unanimous first team all-Marawood Conference selections, and senior Cobie Ellenbecker also made the first team this spring. Diethelm was the North player of the year, while Dick Iverson of Rib Lake was coach of the year.
Other players who were unanimous Marawood North first team selections are Abbotsford seniors Ross Elmhorst, Hunter Soyk and Cade Faber, along with Rib Lake seniors Carter Scheithauer and Brock Thiede and junior Jordan Janko.
Wildcat seniors Konnor Wolf and Drew Guden and junior Jordan Bunkelman were unanimous first team all-Marawood South Conference selections. Senior Kyle Brewster also made the first team.
Athens shared the Marawood North Conference championship with Abbotsford and Rib Lake this season, while Edgar and Stratford shared the Marawood South Conference champi- onship.
Stratford seniors Riley Bauman, Colton Schillinger and Kale Weisenberger were each unanimous first team all-Marawood Conference South selections. Stratford head coach Marshall Lehman was awarded Marawood South Conference coach of the year and Schillinger was the conference player of the year.
Marathon senior Brock Warren, Auburndale senior Hunter Wright and Wausau Newman senior Dylan Ackerman also were unanimous first team all-conference this season.
Marathon junior Jaden Koeller made second team all-conference this spring, along with Edgar senior Austin Dahlke and junior Ashton Schuett. Stratford senior Max Vanderhoof and juniors Camden Daul and Dillon Kirsch also made second team all-conference this spring.
Athens junior Kody Lepak and sophomore Kyler Ellenbecker made second team all-Marawood North Conference this year. Bluejays junior Brooks Kraus and sophomore Connor Sheahan were honorable mention allconference.
Edgar seniors Kaden Goodwin and Brayden Baumgartner received honorable mention all-Marawood South Conference this season, along with Marathon senior Mike Hahn and freshman Grant Warren. Stratford junior Gavin Kirsch and sophomore Braeden Schueller also received honorable mention all-conference this spring.
