Greyhound girls win 10-team track and field meet at Spencer
The Loyal girls took first place as a team at the Spencer track invitational held on May 11. The Greyhound girls had numerous athletes place in the top eight in individual events and relays which led to their win over the 10 teams present at the invite.
Two relay teams took first place at Spencer. The 4X200m relay team of Abrial Kubista, Sheila Tellock, Miranda Trade and Leah Scherer ran a 1:55.35 to win their race and the 4X100m relay team of Aubre Robida, Sheila Tellock, Leah Scherer and Alyssia Zvolena ran for a combined time of 54.62 for their win. The girls also had a second 4X100m relay team (Shalisha Buchanan, Halle Aumann, Hannah Smith, Haven Peroshek) compete. They placed fourth with a time of 1:01.46.
Other relay teams competing and scoring for the Loyal girls were the 4X800m relay (13:14.38) team of Halle Aumann, Ella Rand, Hannah Smith and Maci Bogdonovich which took third; and the 4X400m relay team (5:02.43) of Alyssia Zvolena, Sheila Tellock, Miranda Trade and Haven Peroshek which took fifth place.

The Loyal boys also competed at Spencer, finding most of their success in distance events. They had one relay team compete. The 4X100m relay team of David Nikolai, Kaden Olson, Jaden Ruggles and Sully Hanson ran a 49.72 for third place.
Individual results for the Loyal boys are as follows: Seth Genteman, 2nd, 800m run, 2:13.41, 6th, 1600m run, 5:17.01; Connor Genteman, 3rd, 1600m run, 5:06.10, 3rd, 800m run, 2:16.19, 4th, 3200m run, 11:44.59; Kaden Olson, 3rd, 110m hurdles, 21.61, 8th, triple jump, 30’11”; David Nikolai, 4th, discus, 104’.
As the host of the invite, the Spencer track team also competed on May 11. The team had numerous relays compete and place between the boys and girls. On the girls side, the 4X100m relay team of Lydia Nieman, Haylee Hopperdietzel, Bristol Engevold and Faith Miller took second place with a time of 57.27. Taking fourth was the 4X400m relay team (4:51.55) completed by Emily Wehrman, Haylee Hopperdietzel, Faith Miller and Leah Zastrow. Lydia Nieman, Martina Miradoli, Alizabelle Carman and Haley Miller ran the 4X200m relay, which placed fifth with a time of 2:16.10.
On the boys side, the Rockets had three relay teams. Taking second place was the 4X200m relay team (Dylan Riemer, Raphael Gehring, Landon Behselich, Alexander Baumgarten) which ran a 1:54.42; and the 4X100m relay team (Connor Clark, Will Gorst, Kaizer Eikleberry, Elliot Bauer) which ran a 47.41. The 4X400m relay team of Landon Behselich, Kaizer Eickleberry, Cameron Nieman and Malachai Anderson took fourth place with a time of 4:02.68.

The Greenwood track and field team also competed at Spencer, with several individual finishes by their athletes. The Indian boys had one relay team compete, with the 4X800m relay team of Cody Eckes, Avrey Horvath, Ashtin Palms and Christian Thomas taking second with a time of 9:51.14.
Individual results for the Greenwood boys and girls are as follows: Nathan Revier, 1st, triple jump, 38’4.5”, 8th, 200m dash, 24.92; Ashtin Palms, 3rd, 300m hurdles, 49.36;; Christian Thomas, 5th, 300m hurdles, 50.30; Lauren Ingold, 4th, shot put, 26’8”; Kia Abel, 4th, 300m hurdles, 57.78, 7th, 100m hurdles, 21.41; Rylan Lindner, 6th, 800m run, 2:52.54, 6th, 400m dash, 1:12.14, 8th, triple jump, 23’; Katlund Etlicher, 6th, 1600m run, 7:14.79.
As a team, the Loyal girls earned 162 points to win the meet. Other teams competing at Spencer on May 11 were Stanley-Boyd (116.5), Auburndale (97), Phillips (76), Spencer, which had 53 points and took fifth, Neillsville (52), Columbus Catholic (43), Prentice (29), Greenwood, which earned 21.5 points to place ninth, and Owen-Withee (2).
For the boys, Greenwood took ninth place with 29 points, finishing ahead of Prentice (21). Also finishing were Phillips (42), Columbus Catholic (46), Owen-Withee (46.5), Loyal, which finished with 47 points for fifth place, Spencer, which took fourth with 63.5 points, Auburndale (120), Neillsville (125.5) and Stanley-Boyd
