Mary A. T. Schneider, 54, Thorp, and Claudine M. Leibl, 59, Medford, were involved in an accident on May 3 at 12:43 p.m. on Hwy 13 in the town of Medford. According to the accident report, both vehicles were northbound on Hwy 13. The Leibl vehicle was turning into a private driveway at N4558 Hwy 13 when it was struck from behind by the Schneider vehicle. Schneider stated she did not see the Leibl vehicle turning. Leibl stated she slowed and signaled before turning. The Schneider vehicle sustained minor damage to the front, left front corner, left side front and left side middle. The Leibl vehicle sustained damage to the entire right side. Following too close by Schneider was listed in the report as a factor in the accident. She was issued a citation for automobile following too closely.

Jose L. Bautistacruz, 23, Medford, was involved in an accident on April 27 at 9:25 p.m. on Hwy 13 in the town of Deer Creek. According to the accident report, the Bautistacruz was northbound on Hwy 13 when the driver swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway. The driver lost control of the vehicle and it entered the ditch, striking a road sign and farmer’s fence before rolling over. There was damage to the entire vehicle and it was towed from the scene. Over-correcting/over-steering by Bautistacruz was listed in the report as a factor in the accident. He was issued a citation for operating without a valid license-second offense within three years.

Zachariah R. Becker, 31, Somerset, was involved in an accident on May 1 at 2:48 p.m. on Hwy 64 in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, a motorcycle operated by Becker was eastbound on Hwy 64 when a dog ran into the roadway. Becker applied the brakes and the rear tire locked up, causing the motorcycle to tip on its side. Becker sustained suspected minor injuries and was taken to Aspirus Medford Hospital for medical treatment. There was minor damage to the right side middle of the motorcycle.

Deagan J. McNamar, 16, Westboro, was involved in an accident on May 2 at 5:18 p.m. on Rustic Road No. 1 in the town of Rib Lake. According to the accident report, the McNamar vehicle was eastbound on Rustic Road No. 1 and negotiating a curve when the vehicle entered the left ditch and overturned, coming to a stop on its top partially submerged in water. McNamar stated he was driving too fast to negotiate the curve. He was issued a citation for operating a motor vehicle by permittee without parent.

Jessica N. McCarter, 29, Gilman, was involved in an accident on May 3 at 8:16 a.m. on CTH B in the town of Ford. According to the accident report, the McCarter vehicle was northbound on CTH B and approaching a curve in the roadway. The vehicle left the roadway, struck a utility pole and rolled before coming to a stop on its roof. McCarter sustained suspected minor injuries and was transported to Aspirus Medford Hospital for medical treatment. There was damage to the entire vehicle. Operating a motor vehicle in an inattentive, careless or erratic manner and looking away from the task by McCarter were listed in the report as factors in the accident. She was issued a citation for inattentive driving.

Kyle J. Bentler, 23, Stanley, was involved in an accident on May 4 at 12:08 a.m. on Hwy 73 in the town of Jump River. According to the accident report, the Bentler vehicle was southbound on Hwy 73 when the vehicle entered the ditch and struck a small tree. Bentler and a passenger in the vehicle, Sabrina A. Christie, 22, Cornell, left the scene and did not report the accident. Christie sustained possible injuries in the accident but was not transported for medical treatment. The vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front, right front corner, left front corner, left side front and undercarriage. It was towed from the scene. Failure to control and running off the roadway by Bentler were listed in the report as factors in the accident. He was issued citations for operating while revoked and failure of operator to notify police of an accident. Christie was issued a citation for failure of occupant to notify police of an accident.

The following deer-related accidents were reported: Jacqueline M. Rhyner, 78, Phillips, on April 30 at 9:31 p.m. on Hwy 13 in the town of Westboro.

Samuel J. Zagorski, 71, Lublin, on May 5 at 8:44 a.m. on CTH F in the town of Roosevelt.
