Thursday, Ashton Kroeplin drove in Brayden Boie to make it a 3-1 game in the second. But that was as close as Thorp-Gilman would get in an 11-1, five-inning loss.
The Ramblers banged out 14 hits and scored twice in the third, four times in the fourth and twice more in the fifth to end things early.
Kroeplin’s hit was the only one Thorp-Gilman got off Regis sophomore Zander Rockow, who struck out 14 and walked two and hit a batter. Brayden Boie had a tough outing against the stacked Regis lineup, allowing 13 hits and nine earned runs while striking out three and walking two. He hit four Ramblers. Hauser faced the last two hitters and allowed a hit and a walk.
Rockow also went three for four at the plate. Ben Boda was two for three with two RBIs and two runs scored. Designated hitter Cole Selvig also drove in three runs for Regis.
