Hornets look to boost confidence in their young team Hornets look to boost confidence in their young team
By Ginna Young After losing a strong core of seniors to graduation last year, the Cadott boys basketball program is in a re-building season. But that doesn’t mean the Hornets don’t have strengths. Coach Dusty Burish expects his tall and athletic players to be more of a defensive force. Burish knows the team lacks varsity experience, but says it could be a surprise to see who steps up this year. “This team, from my eyes, is very athletic, but it depends on the underclassmen who will step up and be a force on either side of the ball,” he said. After putting in the time during last season and in the off-season, senior Brad Irwin is expected to excel on the court this year.
