Stratford rebounded to beat Edgar in straight sets after barely defeating Wausau Newman, 3-2, on Thursday at home. Senior Breanna Ackley led the Tigers with 11 kills and four total blocks. Junior Megan Wiese added three total blocks.

Ackley’s senior teammate, Tanaya Schillinger, had glowing words of praise for her after the match win against Wausau Newman.

“She is crazy athletic and she shows her basketball abilities up at the volleyball net all the time, so it’s great,” Schillinger said about Ackley.

Stratford won five straight matches prior to Monday night’s loss at Mosinee. Schillinger led Stratford with seven kills and Ackley with six total blocks.

Edgar lost a nail biter, 3-2, to a good Prentice team on Thursday at home. Sophomore Reagan Borchardt paced the Wildcats with 11 kills and 11 blocks, and she added 17 digs and two aces.

The Wildcats honored their three senior players consisting of Mckenna Guden, Jasmine Schnelle and Olivia Urmanski against the Buccaneers.
