Chen Phakitthong of Marathon placed 31st in 27:45, Jasmine Schnelle of Edgar 32nd in 27:51, Maria Schoenfuss of Stratford 33rd in 27:58, Maria Hackel of Edgar 34th in 28:00 and Alisha Blenker of Marathon 35th in 28:30.

The next five finishers were all runners from Edgar consisting of Rachel Schneider placing 36th in 29:33, Valerie Czech 37th in 31:00, Dailyn Schmitt 38th in 32:55, Erica Socha 39th in 33:01 and Valerie Myszka 40th in 34:02. Paige Blount of Marathon placed 41st in 39:19.

Stratford meet

Morgan Schnelle of Edgar and Tyler Holcomb of Stratford each took second place in their respective varsity cross country races on Tuesday in Stratford.

Schnelle ran the course in 20 minutes, 56 seconds while Holcomb ran it in 19:11.04.

The Stratford girl’s cross country team captured its home meet championship. Freshman Kressa Wenzel was the top Tigers’ runner, by taking fourth place in 22:17.

The Edgar girls placed second, followed by Prentice in third and Phillips in fourth.

Phillips won the boy’s race and Stratford placed second. Prentice took third place and Edgar didn’t have enough runners to score points.
