Trials slated
The following entered pleas of not guilty: Roger J. Hattamer, 38, Loyal, repeated sexual assault of the same child (at least three violations of first or second degree sexual assault) (lifetime supervision of serious sex offenders), exposing genitals to a child and child enticement-sexual contact (lifetime supervision of serious sex offenders); John A. Patrick, 39, Phillips, theft of movable property less than or equal to $2,500; Todd A. Rottler a.k.a. Todd Alan Rottler, 59, Rib Lake, operating a firearm while intoxicated and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse-threat); Chad A. Leichtman a.k.a. Chad Anthony Leichtman, 36, Colby, knowingly violating a domestic abuse order-temporary restraining order; Elias Antonio Santiago, 20, Abbotsford, operating without a valid license-second offense within three years.
Trial held
Kristopher W. Reid, 35, Conrath, was found guilty at court trial of five counts of possession of child pornography. He was given a sentence of four years in prison and eight years of extended supervision for each count, to run concurrent. As conditions for each of his extended supervisions, Reid must pay a forfeiture of $1,018 and supervision fees as ordered by the Department of Corrections (DOC): submit to a DNA sample; must not possess or consume any controlled substances without a valid prescription; maintain absolute sobriety; comply with the sex offender registry, undergo a sex offender evaluation and follow through with any recommendations, undergo counseling as deemed appropriate by probation; and obtain/maintain full-time education/ vocational training or employment at the discretion of probation. Reid was found guilty of a count of possession of methamphetamine. He was sentenced to serve 12 months in jail, to run concurrent with his prison time, forfeited $518; and must submit to a DNA sample. Reid was found guilty of a count of possession of THC. He was sentenced to serve six months in jail, to run concurrent with his other time being served; forfeited $443; and must submit to a DNA sample. Reid was found guilty of a count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentence to serve 30 days in jail, to run concurrent with his other time being served; forfeited $443; and must submit to a DNA sample. Reid was found not guilty of five additional counts of possession of child pornography.
Deferred prosecution
Shane J. Dachel, 34, Sheldon, pled guilty to theft of movable property less than or equal to $2,500 and entered into a deferred prosecution agreement for a period of one year. As terms of the agreement, Dachel must not commit any criminal offenses during the period of the
