Team outscores opponent 30-6 in a road twinbill

Marathon’s baseball team has a 7-6 record this summer after splitting a home doubleheader against Antigo Junior Legion on Monday night.
Senior Kole Kaldunski earned the pitching win in Marathon’s 11-0 victory against Antigo Junior Legion in the first game.
Mitchell Kurtz batted a perfect three for three with a pair of RBIs in the victory. Jaden Koeller hit two for three while Kolby Koeller was two for two with a double. Jake Sweno had a double and two RBIs and Mike Hahn also collected a pair of RBIs.
Marathon pitcher Daniel LaQua was charged with the loss in the team’s 17-4 defeat to Antigo Junior Legion in the second game.
On Friday, Marathon won its road doubleheader against Abbotsford. Brock Warren pitched Marathon to a 13-1 victory in the first game. Jaden Koeller batted a perfect four for four with three RBIs. Kolby Koeller hit three for three with two RBIs and Brock Warren helped himself out with a pair of RBIs.
Kyle Hollenbeck struck out six Abbotsford batters to earn the pitching win in Marathon’s 17-5 victory in the nightcap. Tyler Underwood batted three for three with two RBIs in the win. Brock Warren hit two for two and Logan Werner collected a pair of RBIs.
Marathon split a home doubleheader against Rib Lake on Thursday. Hunter Seubert struck out nine batters to earn a complete-game 5-1 win against Rib Lake in the opening game. Brock Warren hit two for three and Hunter Seubert doubled and had two RBIs. Kole Kaldunski also collected two RBIs.
Hector Pintor took the pitching loss in Marathon’s 10-7 defeat to Rib Lake in the second game. Kyle Hollenbeck batted two for three with three RBIs.
Marathon lost both games in a doubleheader against Wausau on July 13. Jaden Koeller struck out six batters but he was still the losing pitcher in the team’s 7-2 defeat to Wausau in the first game. He did bat two for four in the loss. Hector Pintor took the pitching loss in Marathon’s 18-2 defeat to Wausau in the second game.
The team beat Greenwood, 15-8, at home on July 10. Hunter Seubert was the winning pitcher for Marathon. Carter Hanke batted two for four with a double and a grand slam homerun in the victory. Jaden Koeller hit three for five and Brock Warren was two for five with a two-run homer.
Jake Sweno and Kolby Koeller added two RBIs each and Logan Werner doubled.
Marathon swept a home doubleheader against Edgar Junior Varsity on July 9. Brock Warren struck out 11 batters to earn the pitching win in Marathon’s 11-2 victory against Edgar Junior Varsity in the first game.
Mitchell Kurtz, Carter Hanke, Brock Warren, Mike Hahn, Kolby Koeller and Pierson Hamann collected two RBIs apiece.
Daniel LaQua earned the pitching win in Marathon’s 2-1 victory against Edgar Junior Legion in the second game. Jake Sweno smacked a double.
