We are excited to kick off the new school year with plenty to celebrate!

First and foremost, I want to express my sincere gratitude to our families for helping us achieve a smooth start. On the first day, we welcomed 576 students through our doors, and the support of our families plays a critical role in ensuring student success.

Your continued partnership in your children’s learning is greatly appreciated.

This year, we are proud to be fully staffed with passionate and dedicated educators, ready to engage and support our students from day one.

We’ve also expanded our 4-year-old kindergarten program by adding another part-time section. This new class meets three days a week, while the existing class continues to meet five days a week. The new section is led by one of our talented team members, who previously worked in the district as a paraprofessional.

While we recognize that our small district may not always compete with larger districts in terms of salary and benefits, we are committed to offering competitive opportunities for both our staff and students.

We are also focused on ensuring our staff stays at the forefront of educational best practices. This summer, our English Language Arts (ELA) staff participated in a weeklong professional development session to update curriculum and lesson plans. Additionally, 12 of our staff members dedicated a combined 1,728-plus hours to expanding their knowledge of reading instruction, in compliance with ACT 20 legislation. For years, we have placed a strong emphasis on ELA, and we are confident that our staff provides reading instruction to benefit all our students.

Outside the classroom, we continue to prioritize student experiences through cocurricular programs. These activities are an essential extension of the classroom, providing diverse opportunities that cater to students’ interests.

We know that student involvement in cocurriculars plays a vital role in their overall development, and we remain committed to fostering those opportunities.

We are confident that this year will be a great one!
