Stratford trustees discuss mini-storage
The Village of Stratford Board discussed at its meeting on Sept. 14 an issue with a mini-storage business that never checked with the village about getting approval for its expansion building project.
Construction work continues on the mini-storage building expansion, located on the west side of STH 97, north of Forever Treasures on the south end of the village of Stratford.
Stratford clerk Jamie Heindl said Vestednest Property Group is the name on the property, but she’s unsure if it’s doing the construction work or if it owns the land. Mid-West Mini Storage is the name on one of the original storage units, located south of Forever Treasures.
Village officials said with current mini-storage expansion plans have the water and sewer lines running underneath a retention pond on the property, which should be OK. The owner of the property will most likely sell it after the next phase of the mini-storage expansion project is completed, according to the village board meeting minutes.
