There will be unique music venues, shopping, and food throughout the tour for your weekend pleasure.
Joining us this year are 11 host sites with many intriguing art studios, plus many sponsors offering fantastic food, lodging, and fun shopping opportunities. Spend your weekend relaxing and just enjoying yourself.
New this year is the Bloomquist/Church Schoolhouse, with a warm historical environment that welcomes everyone. This schoolhouse was built in 1907. The last classes held there were in 1947; then the building was used for other purposes until it was moved to Lakeside Drive in Willard in 2022. It has been brought back to life for special occasions by Loren and Kathy Anderson, being used for the art tour this year to host artist Mary Reagan of Fitchburg, with her paintings that explore nature, emotions, and connections. Her paintings invite viewers to step into a vibrant, thoughtful world full of energy and meaning.
Expanding his variety of art this year is Barry Plautz of Steeple Gallery and Creative Center, Dorchester. Come enjoy a tour through the gallery and check out a wide variety of artwork including painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, jewelry, and more. The center also offers instructional art workshops for art enthusiasts of all ages.
While you’re in the northern half of Clark County, take some time to visit talented artists Beau and Kara Lasiewicz just outside of Stetsonville. This site is Kara’s family farm where they have their home and studios. They specialize in fine art, realistic oil paintings, custom sculptural yet functional wooden tables, event photography, and functional pottery inspired by nature.
One of the tour’s many cluster points is in the northern half of the county at the Old School, located in downtown Owen and hosting eight artists. They will be featuring hand-stitched, beaded jewelry; oil and unique paintings; semi-precious stone jewelry; fused glass dishes; suncatchers; garden art; beautiful wood turnings and carvings; birch bark designs; and new, contemporary earrings and jewelry.
Visit the Christine Center in Willard with seven accomplished artists, plus one new cottage artist making her debut this year. Live drumming, singing bowls, painting, and SoulCollage experiences will be available at various times during the tour. Come experience their beautiful bookstore and meditation spaces, and sample delicious teas and unique treats.
Nestled in the rolling hills of Willard’s North Mound is where you will find the historic barn of Patrick J’s Imagination. Patrick offers one-of-a-kind wood furniture and wood art. He will also have new artists William and Karen Bejin joining him this year with their birch bark baskets and sconces, swallow relief wood carvings, and watercolor and acrylic paintings. Returning guest artist Jim Gregorich will join them with his beautiful barnwood wall art.
Other host sites/artists in the Willard area this year are Ron Volovsek, who creates handcrafted wooden décor, outdoor planters, and more; Danae Stieglitz with her handcrafted goat milk soaps and lotions; Jason Lamovec, who makes one-of-a-kind rustic furniture; and Mary Jo Fox, with her watercolor paintings, painted furniture, and woven rag rugs. Joining them will be Randy Fox with his handmade cutting boards, wooden boxes and more; and Susan Koehler with her gorgeous pottery.
We have great artists along the Black River in central Clark County. Don’t miss the return of The Highground veteran artists exhibiting in the brand-new Welcome Center at The Highground Veterans Memorial – a must-see experience.
North, south, east, and west – Clark County has it all for the art enthusiast. Come join us for a special Friday and Saturday of art.
