FFA BUSY WITH ACTIVITIES

FFA Blood Drive Help us save a life! The Greenwood FFA Spring Blood Drive will be Friday, March 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the high school east gym. If you would like to schedule an appointment to donate blood at this drive, please call the American Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767. Appointments are encouraged; walk-ins are welcome!

FFA Banquet The Greenwood FFA cordially invites you to the annual FFA Banquet on April 6. Please RSVP to Mrs. Lebal by March 14 if you plan to attend.

FFA Week Greenwood FFA celebrated National FFA Week Feb. 17-21. Students stayed busy with daily dress-up days (such as the one shown above right), lunch activities, and FFA emblem hunts. Agriculture trivia and pie throwing were fan favorites for members! On Friday, students gathered for the annual Ag Olympics. Olympic games included milk chugging, an egg toss, wheelbarrow races, hula hoop relays, and agriculture charades for the tie breaker. After a tough round of charades (shown below), the junior class walked away as champions!

FFA Week Agriculture Coloring Contest The Greenwood FFA was excited to include the elementary students in the National FFA Week celebration this year! Elementary students took part in an Agriculture Coloring Contest. Coloring entries were judged by Greenwood FFA Alumni & Supporter members and were displayed for the community to see at the home basketball games throughout the week. Greenwood High School greenhouse It is time to think spring! The Greenwood Agriculture Department and FFA chapter will be hosting a spring plant sale. Agriculture students and FFA members will work tirelessly to grow beautiful hanging baskets, bedding plants and vegetables for all of your garden needs! Be sure to follow the school Facebook page and further TRG publications for more information regarding sale times and locations.
