This coming Saturday, Sept. 7, the city of Greenwood will transform into a live-action mystery game in a thrilling twist on the classic board game “Clue” during the much-anticipated End of Summer Fest celebration. The event, aptly named “Greenwood Get A Clue,” invites people of all ages to don their detective hats and unravel the mystery of Mr. Boddy’s untimely demise.

Kicking off at noon on Sept. 7, the action begins in front of Branstiter’s “Old Streets of Greenwood” Museum. Participants will gather to meet the vibrant cast of characters, each bringing their own alibis and clues to the game. Attendees will receive a free Clue Case File, which serves as their guide through the interactive mystery. This file includes crucial information such as character names, potential murder weapons, and key locations within Greenwood, along with hints on where to investigate further. Additionally, players can use a text-for-hint option if they find themselves stumped.

The game turns Greenwood itself into the board, with suspects coming to life and mingling among the players. Super sleuths can tackle the case solo or team up with family and friends, making it a fantastic activity for kids, families and adults alike. The goal? To crack the case and determine whocommittedthecrime, whereithappened, and with what weapon.

The best part? There is no cost to participate in this engaging event, so everyone is encouraged to get involved and test their investigative skills. Whether you’re a budding detective or just looking for a fun way to spend your Saturday afternoon, “Greenwood Get A Clue” promises an afternoon of mystery, excitement and community fun, and is sponsored by Dallman Insurance and Brenda Thomas, Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay.
