That makes a dozen!

Kaleb Stoppelmoor is the 12th student teacher in the Spencer Ag room since 1999. He is currently finishing his senior year at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, with a major in agriculture education and a minor in animal science. He is from Fountain City.

Growing up he worked on his grandfather’s farm helping raise beef cattle, sheep, and harvesting crops. In high school Kaleb was involved in sports, FFA, NHS, and choir. He was a football and track captain. In FFA, he showed sheep for six years. He also was involved in some speaking contests, fundraising, and community services.

While at River Falls, Kaleb was involved in the agriculture clubs. His junior year he became president of Alpha Tau Alpha, the academic agriculture education fraternity on campus. Now he is student teaching with Mark Zimmerman at Spencer High School.

“I began working with the Parliamentary Procedure team when I got here. The team took second place at the district speaking contest and will be moving on to the Sectional speaking contest. I am very proud of the work they’ve put in and how they’ve done,” says Stoppelmoor.

He also said, “Students here are very respectful and responsible. I am really enjoying working with the students. I am probably learning just as much from them as they are from me.”

He plans to graduate from River Falls this spring and finish up the school year at Spencer. With a little razzle dazzle, Stoppelmoor hopes to find a teaching position in the state of Wisconsin after graduation.
