At the 90th State Wisconsin FFA Convention, the Spencer FFA Chapter had quite the week. We enjoyed listening to our National FFA Secretary, Layni LeBlanc, and the retiring address of the State President, Amelia Hayden. We even got to see Chris Kroeze, runner-up on The Voice, live in concert.

Our chapter also got the chance to help the tech team with operating the cameras at all sessions that week for the live-stream. We set up and ran the FFA store during the career show, selling FFA merchandise, and also helped package meals for the Rally to Fight Hunger.

Spencer had three State FFA Degree recipients: Daniel Clark, Ben Nowak, and Darron Willcome. Cortney Zimmerman was a finalist for the Leadership Development Event, Employment Skills Contest. She also was selected to help represent Wisconsin FFA at the National Convention, as a voting delegate.

Spencer had four band members in the Wisconsin State FFA Honors Band and one member in Wisconsin State FFA Honors Choir: Shane Bauer, Zach Endreas, Danika Griepentrog, and Cortney Zimmerman.

At the end of the week, we saw our very own Daniel Clark elected to serve as Wisconsin State FFA Vice President for the 2019-20 year. We are excited to see what this year’s State FFA Convention holds and cannot wait to see how Spencer FFA participates.
