The following appeared in court and entered pleas of not guilty: Brent A. Peterson, 27, Rib Lake, strangulation and suffocation (domestic abuse-infliction of physical pain or injury), disorderly conduct (domestic abuse-infliction of physical pain or injury), criminal damage to property, criminal trespass to a dwelling and intimidating a victim through use or attempted use of force; Dale R. Homann, 45, Auburndale, second-degree sexual assault of a child and two counts of felony bail jumping; Edward G. Williams, 26, Rib Lake, battery (domestic abuse-infliction of physical pain or injury); Kaia R. Starr a.k.a. Kaia R. Nicolaisen, 41, Thorp, possession of THC-second or greater offense and possession of drug paraphernalia; Kyle J. Anderson a.k.a. Kyle James Anderson, 36, Stetsonville, disorderly conductdomestic abuse; Mark A Frischman, 41, Medford, possession of methamphetamine, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of THC, possession of THC-second or greater offense, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of an illegally obtained prescription and harboring or aiding a felon; Michael J. Strobach, 40, Rib Lake, operating while revoked and misdemeanor bail jumping; Nathan D. Niemuth a.k.a. Nathan Daniel Niemuth, 37, Medford, causing injury operating an ATV or UTV while intoxicated and causing injury operating an ATV or UTV with a prohibited alcohol concentration (PAC) greater than or equal to 0.08 percent; Skylar M. Opelt, 35, Medford, two counts of possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor bail jumping and possession of drug paraphernalia; Travis J. Mendez a.k.a. Travis John Mendez, 37, Curtiss, possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating while revoked; Tylynn S. Jankovic a.k.a. Tylynn S. Blakeman, 28, Stetsonville, possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deferred prosecutions
Rudy R. Mendozacarranza, 30, Medford, pled no contest to disorderly conduct-domestic abuse and entered into a deferred prosecution agreement for a period of one year. As terms of the agreement, Mendozacarranza must not commit any criminal offenses during the period of the agreement; notify the Taylor County district attorney and clerk of court offices of any address change within 10 days; comply with all of the terms of bond, which continues to remain in effect during the period of the agreement; and attend counseling with a provider of his choice in which anger management must be a focus and provide proof of attendance within six months to the district attorney’s office. Upon successful completion of the agreement, the state will move to dismiss the charge. Counts of disorderly conduct and operating without a valid license-second offense within three years were dismissed on prosecutor’s motions.
Shane D. Petrie Sr., 38, Stratford, pled no contest to knowingly violating a domestic abuse injunction order and entered into a deferred prosecution agreement for a period of one year. As terms of the agreement, Petrie must not commit any criminal offenses during the period of the agreement; notify the Taylor County district attorney and clerk of court offices of any address change within 10 days; comply with all of the terms of bond, which continues to remain in effect during the period of the agreement; and continue to attending parenting classes and provide proof of attendance to the district attorney’s office prior to expiration of the agreement. Upon successful completion of the agreement, the state will move to dismiss the charge.
Forfeitures
Desiree R. Aeschliman, 17, Medford, pled no contest to two counts of truancy-second or greater offense. She forfeited $263.50 for each count.
Kalista A. Brown, 19, Crandon, pled no contest to disorderly conduct and forfeited $330.50.
Mathew R. Hendricks, 40, Medford, pled no contest to failure to stop at a stop sign and forfeited $175.30.
Adam M. Krumenauer, 32, Athens, pled guilty to operating while revoked and forfeited $443.
Chasity M. Lang, 34, Westboro, pled no contest to possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of THC. Lang was sentenced to serve 20 days in jail for each count, to run concurrent; forfeited $443 for each count; and must submit to DNA samples. A count of possession of methamphetamine was dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes.
Evan P. Lewandowski, 29, Medford, pled no contest to operating while under the influence-second offense. Lewandowski was sentenced to serve 25 days in jail, forfeited $1,603; must submit to a DNA sample, his driver’s license was revoked for 14 months; an ignition interlock device is to be installed on his vehicle; and he must complete an alcohol and drug assessment and follow through with a driver safety plan. A count of operating with a PAC-second offense was dismissed on a prosecutor’s motion.
Separate charges of non-registration of vehicle and failure to keep vehicle under control against Lewandowski were dismissed on prosecutor’s motions.
Rudy R. Mendozacarranza, 30, Medford, pled no contest to failure to keep vehicle under control and forfeited $213.10.
Shane D. Petrie Sr., 38, Stratford, pled no contest to disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to serve 30 days in jail; pay a forfeiture of $443; and submit to a DNA sample. Three counts of misdemeanor bail jumping were dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes.
Separate charges of knowingly violating a domestic abuse injunction order, disorderly conduct (domestic abuse-infliction of physical pain or injury), disorderly conduct and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping against Petrie were dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes.
Lloyd E. Westphal, 51, Rib Lake, pled no contest to an amended charge of operating without a valid licensefi rst offense and forfeited $267.50. The original charge had been operating while revoked.
Probation ordered
Javier F. Casanas Santana, 33, Milwaukee, pled guilty to fourth-degree sexual assault. Sentence was withheld and Casanas Santana was placed on probation for two years on the condition he pay a forfeiture of $443 and supervision fees as ordered by the Department of corrections (DOC); submit to a DNA sample; have no contact with the victim and her mother; sex offender registry for 15 years; undergo counseling as deemed appropriate by probation; and undergo an alcohol and drug assessment and comply with all treatment recommendations. Casanas Santana also pled guilty to a count of exposing genitals/pubic area/intimate parts to a child and entered into a deferred prosecution agreement for a period two years. As terms of the agreement, Casanas Santana must not commit any criminal offenses during the period of the agreement; notify the Taylor County district attorney and clerk of court offices of any address change within 10 days; comply with all of the terms of bond, which continues to remain in effect during the period of the agreement; and successfully complete his probationary period and complete all required conditions of probation. Upon successful completion of the agreement, the state will move to dismiss the charge.
Casanas Santana pled no contest to a separate charge of disorderly conduct and forfeited $330.50. He pled guilty to a separate charge of operating without a valid license-third or greater offense within three years and forfeited $443.
