Accident reports
Two-vehicle accidents
Karissa F. Mudgett, 22, Stetsonville, and a vehicle owned by Dylon B. Strassburger, Dorchester, were involved in an accident on April 25 at 12:44 p.m. on East Mink Avenue in the village of Stetsonville. According to the accident report, the Strassburger vehicle was legally-parked and unoccupied on East Mink Avenue. The Mudgett vehicle was backing out of a driveway and struck the Strassburger vehicle. Mudgett stated she was watching another vehicle traveling on East Mink Avenue. The Mudgett vehicle sustained minor damage to the left rear corner. The Strassburger vehicle sustained damage to the left side middle and left side rear. Looked but did not see and looking away from the task by Mudgett were listed in the report as factors in the accident.
Sierra Combs, 18, Stetsonville and Jordan Clark, 18, Medford, were involved in an accident on April 26 at 12:46 p.m. in the parking lot at Medford High School. According to the accident report, the Combs vehicle was pulling out of a parking space and struck the front driver’s side corner of the Clark vehicle in the adjacent parking space, causing damage to the front driver’s side corner. The Combs vehicle sustained a scratch along the passenger side.
Ashton E. Freye, 34, Medford, and Carolyn S. Blumer, 53, Chetek, were involved in an accident on April 29 at 4:43 p.m. on Hwy 64 in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Freye vehicle was westbound on Hwy 64. The Blumer vehicle was exiting a driveway at Medford High School to proceed east on Hwy 64 and was struck by the Freye vehicle. Blumer stated she had difficulties seeing due to a sun glare and other vehicle traffic. The Freye vehicle sustained damage to the front and left front corner. The Blumer vehicle sustained damage the left side middle. Failure to yield the rightof- way by Blumer was listed in the report as a factor in the accident.
One-vehicle accidents
Lisa R. Fawley, 54, Medford, was involved in an accident on April 27 at 3 a.m. on CTH E in the town of Molitor. According to the accident report, the Fawley vehicle was southbound on CTH E when the driver fell asleep. The vehicle entered the east ditch and struck a tree. Fawley sustained possible injuries in the accident but was not transported for medical treatment. The vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front, left front corner and right front corner. It was towed from the scene. Failure to control and other contributing actions by Fawley were listed in the report as factor in the accident. She was issued a citation for failure of the operator to notify police of an accident.
Steven G. Gosse, 59, Withee, was involved in an accident
Taylor County Law Enforcement
on May 1 at 3:26 a.m. on Sawyer Avenue in the town of Hammel. According to the accident report, the Gosse vehicle was eastbound on Sawyer Avenue when a herd of deer ran into the roadway. The driver swerved to avoid the deer and the passenger side tire entered the ditch, causing the vehicle to slide into the ditch and tipped onto the passenger side. The vehicle sustained damage to the undercarriage. After being pulled from the ditch, the vehicle wouldn’t start and it was towed from the scene. Swerved or avoided due to wind, slippery surface, motor vehicle, object or non-motorist in roadway by Gosse was listed in the report as a factor in the accident.
Deer-related accidents
The following deer-related accident were reported: Taylor M. Dubois, 22, Medford, on April 25 at 1:59 p.m. on CTH M in the town of Grover.
Tori J. Noland, 28, Medford, on April 29 at 5:20 a.m. on CTH O in the town of Little Black.
Forfeitures
Brook A. Cruz Rojas, 36, Owen, pled no contest to an amended charge of an ordinance violation for disorderly conduct and forfeited $330.50. The original charge had been criminal disorderly conduct.
Kenneth F. Pemble, 39, Park Falls, pled no contest to automobile following too closely and forfeited $200.50.
David J. Prasnicky, 45, Sheldon, pled no contest to a reduced charge of speeding 11-15 mph over the limit and forfeited $175.30.
Eric M. Sutton, 49, Marshfield, pled no contest to improper attaching rear registration decal or tag and nonregistration of vehicle. He forfeited $150.10 and $175.30, respectively.
Probation ordered
Ryan J. Madlon, 38, Sheldon, pled no contest to intentionally contributing o the delinquency of a child. Sentence was withheld and Madlon was placed on probation for one year on the condition he serve 10 days in jail; pay a forfeiture of $443 and supervision fees as ordered by the Department of Corrections; submit to a DNA sample; have no contact with the victim; and undergo counseling as deemed appropriate by probation.
