Owen-Withee Lions...We Serve:

The Owen-Withee Lions Club is planning their 21st Annual Ice Fishing Contest to be held at the Mill Pond Park and Old School in Owen on Sunday, March 5, 2023, from noon until 3 p.m. The usual large number of prizes will be awarded throughout the afternoon. Raffles, food and refreshments will be available in the Old School Building across the street. There will be indoor games for kids under 12.

The purpose of this letter is to request items to be raffled and won through various contests and drawings held throughout the afternoon. Items such as fishing gear, gift certificates, or cash are greatly appreciated. Sponsors and contributors’ names will be listed on our posters that are placed around the communities and at the site of the contest to show our appreciation. The past Ice Fishing Contests were successful only because of you who so generously donated. We could not do the things we do without your support. The Owen-Withee Lions are truly grateful. We appreciate your generosity and sincerely thank you.

The O-W Lions Club supports many local projects and events such as the Owen Mill Pond revitalization, the Withee Ball Park upgrade, Withee Tennis Court fence and basketball and pickle ball courts, youth football, baseball, basketball team supplies and food pantry donations, community Halloween, Christmas and Easter parties and local benefits. Our cub annually supports the Wisconsin Lion’s Camp, which offers a free camping experience for worthy kids. Support of state, national and worldwide initiatives which help with disaster relief and problems related to vision, hearing and diabetes are a part of the club’s activities. We recently donated to a childhood cancer initiative to benefit Wisconsin cancer centers. We work hard to live up to the Lion’s motto... “We serve.”
