Yep, that was fun

Yep, that was fun Yep, that was fun

I suppose, after writing about the mystery of what was going to be planned at my bachelor party last weekend, I should elaborate on what actually happened so ya’ll aren’t left using your wild imaginations.

I’ll start with this: it was a blast. As I said last week, the guys kept asking me if I was excited and of course I was but they had a lot of really cool events in store for me which would explain why they were excited for me. The weekend started with golf. This part I knew we were doing.

We could have went home after golf and I would have had a great time but that was just the beginning. We went to our Airbnb to get settled in before we went to a cigar bar. The bar had high end cigars and encouraged sipping a whiskey or scotch while enjoying a cigar. A f t e r w a rd s, we went back to the Airbnb which was just blocks from Lambeau Field and watched the game while we “tailgated” in the garage. It was just 10 of my best friends and I hanging out and knocking back a few beverages.

We then got some shut eye and took a tour of Lambeau Field in the morning. I have been to plenty of games at Lambeau and even took a tour of it once before but it was really awesome to hear about the history of the Green Bay Packers and how close they were to not being a football team.

After that, we went to nearby Titletown where we went to a restaurant called “The Turn.” There we reserved a bay and had lunch and drinks as we did a Topgolf-style competition with other sports mixed in as well. We alternated throwing footballs to receivers on the simulation screen or pitching a baseball to a virtual batter. They also had soccer, hockey, dodgeball and other sports we were able to indulge in.

We then went back to the Airbnb and instead of going out to eat, we played games and ordered food and hung out with each other at the house. That night, we went to the Green Bay bars and the rest is history.

The ride home and Sunday morning wasn’t very fun but it was all very worth it. I’ll let your imagination figure out why.

I’ve known most of the guys in my wedding party for more than eight years and those guys went all out to make sure it was a special weekend. I can’t thank them enough.

Now, it’s a blend of being all business and excited as we get closer to the wedding. There is plenty to do and to say we have been stressed out with planning would be an understatement, but it all leads up to the best night of our lives and I’m extremely excited for it.
