Why does it pour when it rains?

Why does it pour when it rains? Why does it pour when it rains?

First rainfall of the year on Saturday March 5, 2022. Was it ever a rainstorm, with lighting and thunderstorms into the night.

The rain held up on trees, powerlines, the snow, almost everywhere turning it into ice. In the morning what we were left with was one big sheet of ice over the area. You could have taken your ice skates and skated to where you needed to be.

I know they say not to use hot water on your car windshield. But, I couldn’t help it this past weekend. I had to make it to the Abbotsford volleyball alumni games and the badminton tournament. I had this big sheet of ice on my windshield, I don’t have an ice scraper unfortunately and my debit card wasn’t cutting it. So I went with the not so approved tactic. I filled a container full of hot water, poured it on my windshield and held my breathe .It didn’t crack. I think it only cracks in extremely cold weather. It worked great, the hot water got all the ice off my windshield. I don’t recommend doing this. It is extremely dangerous and can crack your windshield if it is too cold.

The snow plows did a great job of keeping ice off the roads. I don’t think we even had to worry about that much ice on the roads with the temperatures up again.

I remember hearing thunder. My family and I had some guests over the weekend. One little girl covered her ears to hide from the thunder, after she saw the lighting from our living room windows. She said, “I wasn’t scared, but it’s just loud.”

The rain and thunderstorms caught me off guard. The rain made it seem like an early spring day. Who knows, maybe it is a sign spring is on the way.

It reminds me of summertime. I’m on the golf course having fun and all of sudden you see the clouds start to come over. You just know a rainstorm is heading your way.

What I do is start running for shelter, I do not like golfing in the rain. But, sitting underneath the shelter waiting for the rain to pass felt like walking through the rain this past Saturday.

The rain proves we’re almost out of this cold weather. I can’t wait any longer. After all these years in Wisconsin you’d think we would be able to handle this weather. The older I get the more I don’t want to go outside during the winter.

The rain put down like three inches of ice now. All the parking lots I visit are full of ice. Be careful getting out of your vehicles and walking around town.

You know what they say, “When it rains, it pours.”
