Welcome to my joyful world
Hello, I am Brandon Lea. I come from the City of Colby. I’ve grew up here all my life and graduated from Colby in May 2017. I went to college after high school and received my associates degree. Backing out for awhile I decided to get myself a job and work.
I worked at several locations trying to find my fit in the world. I worked from McDonald’s to Stratford Homes, trying to find somewhere I fit in, and I couldn’t find anything. So, I decided to continue my schooling for a bachelor’s or even a master’s degree.
My life was changing, my likes and interests were also changing. I used to love watching Harry Potter, now I hardly even watch TV. I used to listen to lots of music, now I listen in small quantities. The more I grew in age the more my interest for writing grew. Seemed like it was the only thing that didn’t change.
I didn’t do much writing before, only school papers here and there when we were assigned them. I started writing in a history class and discovered it’s one of my strengths rather than weaknesses. Now I am going to school at University of Stevens Point at Wausau for English-Writing, Editing, Publishing. My intent is to continue writing for the paper, as Ross is the only reporter for the Tribune right now.
I also intend on using my career in other situations as well, as I would like to become a teacher in the future. Not in my 20’s or 30’s but maybe in my 40’s I would like to become a teacher or maybe even a professor for English.
I wrote my first book when I was in 4th grade and sent it a contest where they would judge your book and writing. It was about a werewolf inside of town that stayed a werewolf and wouldn’t change when the moon was full. I didn’t take any top awards but my paper did get reviewed and I did get the opportunity to retype it and send it in. But fourth grader me was thrilled enough to have even typed a 60-80 page book. After that though, I didn’t do too much book writing. I was busy in school, playing football and golf, of course.
I am a pretty active golfer, golfing all summer long and even into the cold sometimes. I find it really relaxing and enjoyable. I go with my family a lot so it is a really good bonding time for us.
I have a lot of family members. There is my mom Danielle Kufalk, my dad Robert Lea, my brothers Jason Lea, Jason Aguilera and Jordan Lea, and my sisters Jessica Aguilera, Paige Kufalk and Cassie Rusch.
My mom is from the area and went to school in Colby as well. My dad on the other hand is from Kansas City actually, and moved up here in his early 20’s he met my mom at the Perkins in Marshfi eld. I’m glad he did.
