A love of jewelry has costs

Jewelry. The accessories that can make the money in your wallet go ba-bye, depending on what the jewelry is made out of. I’m obsessed with piercings, so I plan on getting more than I have now. I’m not that person who’s going to pierce her mouth shut, though, like in the movie National Lampoon’s Vegas Vacation,

when Eddie’s oldest son walks into the room and doesn’t say anything, and Eddie says: “Not going to get many words out of him. He pierced his mouth shut, and he has to use a straw to eat.”

I don’t really find face piercings good looking. I’m sorry to the people who have face piercings and are reading this. They have to suit the face. Like a nose stud. Those look really cute on some people, if they have the right face for it. I just plan on getting my ears pierced a couple more times, and that’s it.

If I ever do get any type of face piercing, I have people who will hunt me down, and yank the piercing out of my face. I really want to save my face from that happening, so I won’t get any type of face piercing.

Now, I also like rings. I think they’re so cute, but I have a major problem with them. I can’t find any rings that will actually fit my tiny fingers. So whenever I go shopping with my friends and they want to go and buy some rings, I look at them and start crying just a little bit, knowing that none of the rings we look at will fit my fingers. Anytime I do try on rings, my friends sit there and laugh at me, because I have to put them on my thumbs so they’ll actually fit and won’t fly off my fingers. I want to thank which ever side of my family I got the small hands and fingers from.

Necklaces. I only wear them for special events, so I’m not really big into them. One of the necklaces I own has “The One Ring” from The Lord of The Rings. I only wear that when I think about it, and trust me, I don’t think about that necklace too much, so it’s in my jewelry mirror hanging, and waiting to get worn. I know some girls who will spend their whole wallets on necklaces. They have necklaces for every hour of the day it seems like.

I’m mostly a ring and earring girl. I go for the more simple stuff. Well, maybe not with earrings. Getting your ears pierced requires needles and pain. I’m OK with pain, because I’ve gotten my ears pierced six times. But, with needles, I have trypanophobia, the fear of medical injections and needles.

My boyfriend asks me. “How can you get your ears pierced when you have a fear of needles?”

I just simply tell him: “I just don’t think about when it’s happening, and then, after it’s done, I sit at a table and then think about it, and then almost pass out from it.”

GO FOR IT!
