ACUPUNCTURE INFORMATIVE TALK

Acupuncture Informative Talk on Thursday, Oct. 24th at 6:00 p.m. with Dr. Jocelyn Michel of Healing Path Acupuncture at the Abbotsford Public Library. Informative talk with option for small acupuncture procedure on the ear with the signing of a waiver.

HOT BBQ PORK LUNCHEON

St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church at N13520 County Road E in rural Colby will be hosting a hot BBQ pork sandwich luncheon October 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The lunch will contain BBQ pork sandwiches, scalloped potatoes, vegetables, salad and homemade pies. The lunch is free but a free will offering will be collected with proceeds going to the Angel Tree Project to help provide food for needy families.

VETERANS CHURCH SERVICE

Join St. Paul Lutheran Church Green Grove Veterans service at 8:15 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10. Following the service a breakfast/lunch and program will be held. All veterans are invited to join.

FALL LEAF PICK-UP

The City of Colby will be picking up leaves that are in the curb from Oct. 30 through Nov. 6. After Nov. 6, residents will have to take their leaves to the city’s compost pile at the end of South 4th Street near the sewer treatment plant.

MAKING LEATHER EARRINGS - CCL

Create 3 pairs of leather earrings from start to finish at the adult craft night at the Colby Community Library on Friday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. All materials are provided. Registration began on Oct. 7. Stop in or call the library at 715-223-2000 or reserve your spot and pay the class fee. Class fee is non-refundable.

HARVEST DINNER IN CURTISS

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Curtiss will host its annual fall Harvest Dinner on Sunday, Nov. 10, starting at 11 a.m. The dinner includes baked chicken, ham, mashed potatoes & gravy, dressing, squash bake, coleslaw and cranberries along with pumpkin and apple pies. Carry-outs are available by calling 715-223-1517. The church is located one-half mile north of State Hwy. 29 on CTY Rd. E at 1131 N Meridian St., Curtiss.

CRAFTERS HONORING VETERANS

The 14th Annual Craft Show that honors Veterans is on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Colby VFW, corner of Hwy. 13 and County Rd. N. Chili, cheesy broccoli, and chicken dumpling homemade soup is available. Proceeds from soup lunch will go towards the Fischer House for veterans and families.

ST. MARY’S CHRISTMAS FAIR

Enjoy St. Mary’s Annual Christmas Fair, Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Colby Lions Shelter - 103 W. Adam Street, Colby. Free Admission. Featuring chicken dumpling soup, chicken wild rice soup and chili for sale by the quart. Artisan breads, stollen, scones, and other homemade bakery items for sale. Also, the Christmas Fair will feature handcrafted Christmas wreaths available for purchase, a cookie walk, a silent auction of a large assortment of gift baskets & instant door prizes. ABBOTSFORD HOPE CENTER

The Hope Center in Abbotsford is offering free English lessons on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. There are also free Spanish lessons on Thursdays from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m.

To participate in the classes, students must register at www.hopecenter.space. To join via Zoom during class, text 715-316-4466. The Hope Center is also hosting a worship service at 10 a.m. on Sundays.
