ALENDAR VETERANS DAY AT ABBY H.S.

Abbotsford High School will host a Veterans Day program at 10 a.m. in the north gym. All are invited and veterans are invited to join district staff for a short reception after the program. RSVP to the High School Offi ce at 715-223-2386 if you plan to attend the reception.

BINGO NIGHT AT COLBY LIONS

The Colby Lions Club will host bingo night on the second Tuesday of the month, from November through February, at the Colby Lions Shelter. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with bingo being played between 7 and 9 p.m. Refreshments will be available. This activity is open to the public. CCL BOARD OF TRUSTEES TO MEET

The Colby Community Library (CCL) Board of Trustees will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 5:30 p.m. in the RCU Community Room of the CCL. The meeting is open to the public. As per the CCL Board of Trustees’ current policy, those attending are required to wear masks while in the building.

HARVEST DINNER ON NOV. 14

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Curtiss will host its annual fall harvest dinner on Sunday, Nov. 14, starting at 11 a.m. The dinner includes baked chicken, roast pork, mashed potatoes, dressing and vegetables. Homemade pumpkin or apple pie will also be served. Carry-outs are available by calling 715-223-1517. To reach the church from Abbotsford, take STH 29 west to the CTH E exit, and go north for a half-mile. Seating will follow social distancing guidelines. CRAFTERS HONORING VETERANS

The 11th Annual “Crafters Honoring Veterans” craft show will be held on Saturday, Nov. 6, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Colby VFW on the corner of STH 13 and CTN N. Homemade soup, including cheesy broccoli, chicken dumpling and chili, will be sold, with the proceeds going toward the Fisher House for veterans and their families. ST. MARY’S HOLIDAY FAIR NOV. 13

St. Mary’s Catholic Churh will host its annual Holiday Fair on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Colby Lions Shelter 103 W. Adams Street, Colby. The event will include carryout homemade chicken dumpling soup, chicken wild rice soup or chili; artisan breads, stollen, scones and other homemade bakery treats; handcrafted wreaths; and a cookie walk. Silent auction baskets and door prizes will also be available.

COLBY LIBRARY HOURS

The Colby Community Library is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday, from noon until 7 p.m. The library will be closed Saturday and Sunday until further notice. CUP OPEN FOR CURB-SIDE PICKUP

The Community United Pantry located at Zion Lutheran Church, 301 North 2nd Street, Colby is open for curbside pickup. The CUP will be open Tuesdays, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the regular entrance on the south side of the church building. Call 715-223-2166 for more information.

TRINITY FOOD PANTRY OPEN

The food pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity is still open on Wednesdays, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Additional precautions have been put in place due to COVID-19, but people can still pick up food during those regular hours. FLAG RETURN BOX AT CITY HALL

The city of Abbotsford has a flag return box located in the plaza outside city hall. People can drop their old flags in the box for proper disposal.
