A NNOUNCEMENTS With all of the restrictions put in place to stop the spread of COVID-19, the space normally set aside for the Community Calendar is instead being used for announcements related to closures, cancellations and special accommodations. Anyone who would like to post information relevant to the public can do so by calling 715-223-2342.

TRINITY FOOD PANTRY STILL OPEN

The food pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity is still open on Wednesdays, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Additional precautions have been put in place due to COVID-19, but people can still pick up food during those regular hours.

CUP CLOSED, CALL FOR PICK-UPS

The Community United Pantry at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby is closed to the public; however, you can call to make arrangements for pick up. Non-perishable foods are available. Pre-filled boxes of food will be delivered curb side, but you must call in advance to make arrangements. Call 715-223-2166, Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or on Friday, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

The CUP is located at Zion Lutheran Church, 301, North Second St., Colby, and serves Abbotsford, Colby, Curtiss and Dorchester.

GROCERY DELIVERY OPTION

Abby County Market in Abbotsford is offering delivery services, free of charge, to the elderly and at risk populations in Colby, Abby, Dorchester, Unity and Milan. Local volunteers will also deliver to the elderly and at risk populations in Curtiss, Owen and Withee. A free-will offering or donation to cover the cost of gas will be accepted, but is not required.

Interested customers can call in their shopping lists to 715-223-2378 and give their credit card information over the phone. Orders will be filled to the best of the store’s ability.

The store is still open to the general public, allowing entry into the store. For those who do not want to enter the store, curbside delivery is available, but advanced notice by phone is required. TRASH, RECYCLING RESTRICTIONS

Effective March 23, Advanced Disposal will not collect any trash/refuse or recycling that is not containerized. All trash/refuse and recycling must be placed in the carts.

Loose items left outside the carts will not be collected. All bulk item pick-ups/collection is suspended until further notice.
