The app challenge is on!

Congressman Tom Tiffany’s (WI-07) office is accepting submissions for the 2024 Congressional App Challenge. All middle school and high school students (sixth-12th grades) in the Seventh Congressional District, are welcome to participate.

“The Congressional App Challenge is a great opportunity for students in the Seventh District, that are interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), to develop an app and compete against their peers,” said Tiffany.

The winner from the Seventh Congressional District will be chosen by a panel of expert judges and will be eligible to have their app on display in the U.S. Capitol.

Officially launched by the U.S. House of Representatives in 2015, this nationwide effort allows students to compete against their peers, by creating an application (also known as an “app”) for desktop/PC, web, tablet, mobile, Raspberry Pi or other devices.

Any programming language is accepted, such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby or “block code.”

All apps must be submitted by Friday, Oct. 18. For more information on competition guidelines, visit tiffany.house.gov. For any questions, contact Dylan Anderson, at 715-298-9344, or by emailing Dylan.Anderson2@ mail.house.gov.
