Two vehicle
At 2 p.m. on July, 4 a vehicle driven by Sally Jo Schutten, 70, of Gilman, was traveling northbound on Bridge Dr. in the town of Jump River, when it struck the mirror of Arthur Scheel, of Granton. Scheel’s vehicle was parked alongside of the roadway.
Hit and run
At 2:44 p.m. on July 6, a vehicle driven by Alicia Cole, 33, of Medford, was northbound on S. 8th St. in Medford, when she entered the roundabout at the intersection of S. 8th St. and E. Allman St., a tan sedan rear-ended her. After the front bumper of the sedan made contact with the rear bumper of Cole’s vehicle, Cole pulled into the driveway of 704 N. 8th St. (Wheelers Chevrolet). The driver of the tan sedan continued driving eastbound on Allman St. potentially pulling into Mink Capital Terrace, the driver did not attempt to make contact with Cole.
One vehicle
At 1:43 p.m., on July 3, a pick-up truck driven by Herman Pernsteiner, 79, of Medford, was traveling eastbound on Perkinstown Ave., west of Castle Rd. in the town of Medford when the driver braked hard and swerved to miss a deer in the roadway. The truck partially entered the south ditch and then re-entered the roadway where it rolled at least one time before coming to rest upright facing north. The road was closed from the time of the incident until 3:05 p.m. after the scene was cleared of law enforcement and fire and ambulance vehicles. Pernsteiner was transported by Taylor County Ambulance with suspected serious injuries.
Car vs. deer
At 9:30 a.m. on July 3, a vehicle driven by Dennis Strunk, 66, of Athens, struck a deer while driving on CTH A in the town of Deer Creek.
