Aspirus Medford Pharmacy will change hours of operation.

Effective Monday, April 18 the pharmacy will open at 9 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. Monday-Friday until further notice.

The pharmacy will continue to offer all its services during this period including curb side pickup by appointment, in town delivery on Tuesdays and Fridays, and mailing prescriptions. Managing your prescriptions and requesting refills in a timely manner is always helpful for the pharmacy operations.

• Monday – Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

• Closed: Saturday, Sunday, and major holidays. The Aspirus Medford Pharmacy is an authorized SHARPS (needles, syringes, lancets) collection location. Put used SHARPS in heavy plastic container (examples: bleach or liquid detergent containers with screw caps, SHARPS disposal container purchased from your local pharmacy), place label on outside of container that says: SHARPS and bring the full, secured container to Aspirus Medford Pharmacy.

In addition, you can also use the medication drop box for the safe disposal of unused or expired medication. Bring: prescription (controlled and non-controlled) and over-the-counter medications, ointments, patches, nonaerosol sprays, inhalers, creams, vials, and pet +medications to dispose. Do Not Bring: Illegal drugs, needles/ sharps (use SHARPS disposal), aerosol cans, bio-hazardous materials (anything containing a bodily fluid or blood), mercury thermometers, personal care products (shampoo, soaps, lotions, sunscreens, etc...), household hazardous waste (paint, pesticides, oil, gas).


Dave Schoengart - Chief Executive Officer of Shoe Sensation (left) was in Medford on Friday to help take part in the Medford store ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony. Schoengart spoke about working his way up in the company from the retail floor to CEO. He said they keep about 10,000 pairs of shoes in the store with many more available through their website with the ability to ship to the store or the consumer. In addition to the Medford Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, Schoengart was welcomed by Medford Mayor Mike Wellner who noted the need for a shoe store to serve residents and visitors to the area.BRIAN WILSON/THE STAR NEWS
