A separate charge of speeding 11-15 mph over the limit against Farr was dismissed on a prosecutor’s motion.

Geri A. Gale, 64, Medford, pled no contest to resisting/ obstructing an officer and forfeited $515.50.

Separate charges of failure to keep vehicle under control and operating left of center against Gale were dismissed on prosecutor’s motions.

Stefanie K. Matthias, 36, Medford, pled no contest to possession of drug paraphernalia and forfeited $443. A count of possession of a controlled substance was dismissed on a prosecutor’s motion.

A separate charge of non-registration of vehicle against Matthias was also dismissed on a prosecutor’s motion.

Robert J. McCormick, 25, Phillips, pled no contest to possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. He forfeited $263.50 and $200.50, respectively.

Aaron W. Taylor, 38, Prentice, pled no contest to an amended charge of operating without a valid licensefi rst offense and forfeited $267.50. The original charge had been operating while revoked.

Probations ordered

Richard M. De Santis, 56, Minong, pled no contest to possession of drug paraphernalia and was sentenced to serve 30 days in jail. Sentence was imposed and stayed and De Santis was placed on probation for one year on the condition he pay court costs and supervision fees as ordered by the Department of Corrections (DOC); submit to a DNA sample; and undergo counseling as deemed appropriate by probation. De Santis pled no contest to a second count of possession of drug paraphernalia and was sentenced to serve 30 days in jail, to run concurrent with his other jail time. Sentence was imposed and stayed and De Santis was placed on probation for one year. Conditions of his probation are the same as for his other probation. De Santis also pled no contest to a count of possession of methamphetamine and entered into a deferred prosecution agreement for a period of one year. As terms of the agreement, De Santis must not commit any criminal offenses during the period of the agreement; notify the Taylor County district attorney and clerk of court offices of any address change within 10 days; comply with all of the terms of his bond, which continues to remain in effect during the period of the agreement; and successfully completes his two probationary periods. Upon successful completion of the agreement, the state will move to dismiss the count.

William E. Weir, 44, Gilman, pled no contest to disorderly conduct-domestic abuse. Weir was placed on probation for one year on the condition he pay a forfeiture of $443 and supervision fees as ordered by the DOC; submit to a DNA sample; maintain absolute sobriety; write a letter of apology, pre-approved by probation, to the victims within 30 days of sentencing; undergo counseling as deemed appropriate by probation; and undergo an alcohol and drug assessment and follow through with all treatment recommendations. A count of battery (domestic abuse-infliction of physical pain or injury) was dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes.

Brian L. Thompson, 49, Gilman, pled no contest to hit-and-run involving injury. Sentence was withheld and Thompson was placed on probation for two years on the condition he serve three months in jail; pay a forfeiture of $1,236, reimburse the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department for the tow bill and pay supervision fees as ordered by the DOC; submit to a DNA sample; and undergo counseling as deemed appropriate by probation.

Separate charges for a seatbelt violation, operating while suspended and operating a motor vehicle without insurance against Thompson were dismissed on prosecutor’s motions.

Divorce

A divorce decree was issued to Andre J. Dalla Valle, 62, Waupaca, and Sabrina L. Wert, 28, Wausau.
