Debbi L. Berger, 63, Westboro, was involved in an accident on August 6 at 5:14 p.m. in a parking lot at 700 Mill Ln. in the village of Rib Lake. According to the accident report, the Berger vehicle was legally parked in the parking lot at Rib Lake True Value Hardware when the driver pressed on the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal, causing the vehicle to move forward and strike the building. The vehicle sustained damage to the front, right front corner, right side front, left front corner and left side front.

Brett D. Chester, 20, Platteville, was involved in an accident on August 8 at 4:15 a.m. on CTH C in the town of Browning. According to the accident report, the Chester vehicle was northbound on CTH C when the driver fell asleep and the vehicle entered the east ditch. Chester over-corrected and the vehicle crossed the roadway and entered the west ditch before coming to a stop. Chester sustained suspected minor injuries but was not transported for medical treatment. The vehicle sustained damage to the front, right front corner, right side front, left front corner and left side front. It was towed from the scene. Over-correcting/over-steering by Chester was listed in the report as a factor in the accident.

Anthony T. Schuett, 37, Merrill, was involved in an accident on August 9 at 11:30 p.m. on CTH A in the town of Holway. According to the accident report, a police vehicle operated by Schuett was westbound on CTH A en route to a call when the rear passenger side tire blew out, causing damage to the right side rear and undercarriage.

Serapio V. Terrones III, 39, Medford, and a vehicle owned by Jennifer L. Gorichs Westrich, 47, Medford, were involved in a hit-and-run accident on August 4 at 11:47 a.m. on South Fourth Street in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Gorichs Westrich vehicle was legally-parked and occupied on South Fourth Street. The Terrones vehicle was southbound on South Fourth Street and pulled into a driveway to turn around. As the Terrones vehicle was backing up, it struck the Gorichs Westrich vehicle. Terrones then proceeded to leave the scene and did not report the accident. The Gorichs Westrich vehicle sustained minor damage to the left side middle. the Terrones vehicle sustained minor damage to the right rear corner. Unsafe backing by Terrones was listed in the report as a factor in the accident. He was issued citations for operating while revoked and vehicle owner’s liability for failing to stop at the scene of an accident to an attended vehicle.
