The COVID-19 pandemic is impacting how people shop. With some stores choosing to reduce hours or implement delivery options.

Phil & Eleanor’s, 8th Street Restaurant and Saloon, Cravings, Rockys Cozy Kitchen, Uncommon Ground, Marilyn’s Fire Station, Subway and El Jovenaso in Medford Rail Trail Cafe in Ogema, Mann Made Pizza and Ice Cream Birds Nest and Northside Cafe in Rib Lake have stepped up their to-go and delivery services offering full menus of food items.

People may order in advance and pick up their food items from the locations . Others are offering delivery to locations in the Medford area. Check with each restaurant for hours and options.

The Broadway Theatre is also working to have people purchase tickets in advance and stagger times of movies to remain open through the crisis and allow for sanitation of theater seats between shows.

COVID-19 is also impacting how businesses operate with an additional focus on cleaning and sanitation to look out for the health of customers and employees.

While we are concerned about the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, we are being proactive in managing the situation to the best of our ability while continuing to provide critical goods and services to you, our customer,” said Chip Courtney, general manager of the Medford Cooperative.

Courtney detailed the following actions that are underway to help ensure the health of shoppers and employees: In retail locations:

Cleaning commonly used areas more often, such as check-outs, food service counters, and shelves when restocking products.

Sanitizing restrooms more frequently and restocking supplies, including soap and paper towels.

Adding hand sanitizer at check-outs and food service counters.

Wiping down shopping carts and baskets.

Continuing to provide free disinfectant wipes at stores entrances to sanitize shopping carts or baskets.

Working with vendors to keep highdemand preparedness products in stock.

As always, following best practices for safe food handling.

For employees

Encouraging employees to closely monitor their health.

Providing hand sanitizer and tissues in breakrooms.

Asking employees to stay home if they, or household members, are sick.

For customers

Encouraging customers to follow the CDC’s suggested hygiene practices to reduce the spread.

Making every effort to acquire the products and supplies you need.
