Join fellow readers and Marathon City Branch staff for a discussion of Gillian Flynn’s dark thriller “Sharp Objects” on Monday, Oct.10, 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
Fresh from a brief stay at a psych hospital, reporter Camille Preaker faces a troubling assignment: she must return to her tiny hometown to cover the murders of two preteen girls. For years, Camille has hardly spoken to her neurotic, hypochondriac mother, or to the half-sister she barely knows. Now, back in her old bedroom in her family’s Victorian mansion, Camille must unravel the psychological puzzle of her own past if she wants to get the story and survive this homecoming.
This discussion is free and open to the public, with no registration required. Call the Marathon City Branch at 715443-2775 for more information.
