The Highground is excited to announce the grand opening of its new Welcome Center, a space designed to enhance visitors’ experiences and deepen their connection to the site’s mission to honor, educate, and heal.

“We are thrilled to unveil the new Welcome Center and to continue our mission of honoring and supporting our veterans,” said Chris Pettis, executive director of The Highground. “This space represents our dedication to providing a place of healing, reflection and education for future generations.”

The grand opening will take place on May 2 at 4 p.m. The community is invited to join The Highground in celebrating this significant milestone.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore the new space which includes: – Exhibit Areas: Currently showcasing “Back in The World” – Visitor Amenities: Comfortable seating areas and various resources – Event Spaces: Versatile rooms available for community gatherings, educational programs, and special events – Resource Center: Offering information and support services for veterans and their families “Located in the heart of Wisconsin, The Highground has long been a place of reflection and remembrance, honoring veterans and providing a sanctuary for healing. The new Welcome Center is a testament to the ongoing commitment to these values, offering a state-of-the-art facility that will serve as a hub for information, educational exhibitions, events and community engagement,” Liz Hamilton of The Highground wrote in a press release.
