Highground invites public to Welcome Center grand opening May 2
The Highground is excited to announce the grand opening of its new Welcome Center, a space designed to enhance visitors’ experiences and deepen their connection to the site’s mission to honor, educate, and heal.
“We are thrilled to unveil the new Welcome Center and to continue our mission of honoring and supporting our veterans,” said Chris Pettis, executive director of The Highground. “This space represents our dedication to providing a place of healing, reflection and education for future generations.”
The grand opening will take place on May 2 at 4 p.m. The community is invited to join The Highground in celebrating this significant milestone.

The new Welcome Center is a testament to the ongoing commitment to these values, offering a state-of-the-art facility that will serve as a hub for information, educational exhibitions, events and community engagement,” Liz Hamilton of The Highground wrote in a press release.
