A double helping of dessert

Emmet Brill, 9, of Abbotsford smiles after hitting Kimberly Reineke, the branch manager of Royal Credit Union in Colby, in the face with a cream pie last Wednesday. Emmet and his older sister, Arianna, 16, who were both born with spina bifida, earned the right to give Reineke an early helping of Thanksgiving dessert after RCU patrons and other community members raised $1,000 for the Share-A-Bear program at Children’s Miracle Network and Marshfield Children’s Hospital.
