County nutrition program announces November menu
The Taylor County Nutrition Program for the elderly has announced the November menu for the various sites. Persons 60 years and older and spouse, regardless of age, are invited to participate in the meal.
In Jump River, meals are served at noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Jump River Community Center, W14751 River St. In Medford, meals are served at noon on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at the Medford Senior Dining Center, 845 E. Broadway (Hwy 64). In Gilman, meals are served at noon Monday through Thursday at the Gilman Senior Center, 385 Main St. Meals are served in Goodrich at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays at Royal Gaits Arena & Stables, N3649 Spring Dr. In Stetsonville, meals are served at noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Centennial Community Center, 412 E. Center Ave. Meals are served in Rib Lake at 11:30 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Rib Lake Senior Center, 725 S. Front St. In Westboro meals are served at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the VFW Hall, N8835 Business Hwy 13.

Week of November 1â Monday, Italian rigatoni casserole, green beans, romaine salad, garlic breadstick, carrot cake; Tuesday, ham on marble rye with leaf lettuce and tomato slice, hearty bean soup, pear slices, cookie; Wednesday, chicken breast, mushroom and bacon sauce, brown and wild rice, winter squash, apple slices, brownie; Thursday, beef stroganoff, mashed potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower, biscuit, fresh grapes; Friday, seasoned baked fish, parsley buttered potatoes, red cabbage, rye bread, banana cream pie bar.
Week of November 8â Monday, chicken broccoli casserole, pacific veggie blend, wheat bread, grape juice, strawberries, raspberries and yogurt; Tuesday, spaghetti and meat sauce, lettuce salad, garlic breadstick, diced pears, pineapple cake; Wednesday, egg salad sandwich on whole wheat, lettuce leaf and tomato slice, beef barley soup, peach slices, cookie; Thursday, garlic parmesan chicken breast, seasoned potatoes, 3-bean salad, wheat dinner roll, sliced pears, rhubarb cake; Friday, pulled pork on a bun, scalloped potatoes, creamy coleslaw, honey bee fruit salad.
Week of November 15â Monday, sloppy Joe on a bun, roasted potatoes, baked beans, grape salad; Tuesday, roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, squash, multigrain bread, angel food cake with raspberries and strawberries; Wednesday, chicken and dumplings with celery and carrots, wax beans, pea, cheese, and onion salad, wheat bread, blueberry cobbler; Thursday, chef salad, lettuce, tomatoes, turkey, egg, cheese, dressing, fresh roll, minestrone soup, cookie; Friday, tuna noodle casserole, peas, rye bread, diced fruit mix, beetnick chocolate cake.
Week of November 22â Monday, roast turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, key west veggies, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie bar; Tuesday, meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, country trio veggies, wheat bread, fudgy black bean brownies; Wednesday, lasagna, carrots, lettuce salad, garlic breadstick, fruit jello dessert; Thursday and Friday, CLOSED FOR THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY.
Week of November 29â Monday, oven baked rosemary chicken, baked sweet potato, cauliflower, cornbread, grapes; Tuesday, loaded baked potato with California blend veggies, shredded cheddar, calico beans, raisin bread, cookie.
All meals served with milk.
