Members of the Taylor County Board approved a resolution to join with three counties and three tribal organizations to form the ADRC of the Northwoods and to apply for funding through the state Department of Health Services.

“I encourage people to support the resolution not just because it is a state mandate, not just because the ad hoc committee has put in the work. Support this because of the citizens of Taylor County, the elderly and the disabled, said supervisor Dave Krug. For about two years Krug has been heading up the ADRC planning committee.

The amendment to Ordinance No. 436 was brought up by Chief of Police Jack-Kay as a way to help ease some parking problems in the downtown area. And since the Downtown Business Association did not object, the Council passed it.
