Financial literacy news

Students and families are invited to adopt a plushie pet while budgeting, learning about opportunity costs, and comparison shopping. Real puppies from Copper Paws Rescue will be available to snuggle while
learning about their impactful organization.

To celebrate Financial Literacy Month and to encourage youth to save money early and often, the financial literacy program will add $1 to each student’s deposit made each Tuesday during the month of April.

Top left and middle left: Recently, eighth grade students traveled to Marshfield Middle School to participate in the 19th annual Reality Store sponsored by the Marshfield Chamber Foundation. Students were assigned a career, family, and salary and needed to visit area business and industry representatives to plan their monthly budget based on their net income. Smiles, financial discoveries, and hands-on learning made this field trip a memorable one.
