Bernice M. Bossell

Bernice M. Bossell, 96, Wittenberg, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, at Homme Home of Wittenberg.

Bernice was born July 23, 1928, in New London, the daughter of John and Margaret (Stranen) Borchardt.

She was united in marriage to Clarendon Bossell, Aug. 30, 1947, in Wittenberg. He preceded her in death, June 4, 2002.

Bernice enjoyed reading, knitting and being outdoors, going for walks. She was also an avid baker and loved cake decorating.

She is survived by two children – Cheryl (Gary Drath) Bossell and Gail (Jeff) Knobloch; five grandchildren – Kristy Bossell, Daniel Bossell, Laura (Nate) Feuerer, Peter (Hana Uman) Leeman and Rebecca Branch; six greatgrandchildren – Alex, Owen, Isla, Mckenzie, Gwendolyn and Bryson; daughter-in-law – Cheryl Bossell; brother – John Borchardt; and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son – Darwin “Buzz” Bossell; and three brothers.

A private family service was held. Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home in Wittenberg, is assisting the family with arrangements.
